Victim says man he met on dating app attacked him, stole items from Atlanta home

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating after a man reported being robbed and assaulted by someone he met through a dating app.

Atlanta officers responded to a robbery and assault call around 6:27 p.m. on Sept. 16 at a home in the 2300 block of Dupree Avenue NW.

When officers arrived, they met with a male victim who said he had invited a man he met on a dating app into his home.

Police said the victim reported that the suspect physically assaulted him and stole multiple items from inside the home before leaving.

Investigators said the suspect is known by the nickname “Lulu.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
