ATLANTA — Whether you realize it or not, the amount of daylight we are getting each day is getting longer and Thursday marked the first time we have seen a sunset at 6 p.m. since November.

The last time the sunset was at 6 p.m. was on Nov. 2, Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Our next big milestone will be on March 9, when we see sunset at 7 p.m.

That also means the countdown to Spring is on. As of Thursday, we are 56 days away from the first day of Spring, which is March 20.
