ATLANTA — The state board of education has not decided to push the school year back, despite reports they were considering a motion to delay school until Sept. 8.
Our investigative partners at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and AJC.com reported earlier Thursday that the board planned to meet to discuss delaying opening until Sept. 8.
Officials with the school board confirmed to Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes Thursday afternoon that there was no item on the agenda about school start dates and it was not discussed in the meeting.
