Third body found in East Point house fire

EAST POINT, Ga. — A third body was found Wednesday afternoon in the

, Channel 2 Action News has learned.

The second body was found just before noon.

East Point fire officials said crews arrived at the house on Hogan Road at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

They found heavy fire and smoke coming from the front and sides of the single-story brick structure.

The home belonged to Glenn Giles, 69, who had been missing since the home caught fire. Investigators say Thaddeus Dyer was staying in the home along with Giles and three other people.

Firefighters said they began investigating and found that two residents, a man and a woman, escaped the fire through the windows.

Firefighters were not able to initiate a primary search due to because of the fire’s intensity, officials said.
