ATLANTA — Renters in northwest Atlanta say their condo is invested with rats.
One renter at Cross Creek said the scratching and squeaking of rats keeps her up at night.
"You hear them banging on the ceiling. You're down here watching television, they're banging. You go in the kitchen, they're over the cabinets," Phyllisia Jackson said.
She said rats even come into her bed and bite her while she's sleeping.
Jackson said she's been renting her condo for three years, but the rat problem started in January.
The condo owner and the Cross Creek condo association are pointing fingers of blame at each other.

The owner said the exterior is the cause of the infestation and said the association contracted an insect company to fix it, and claims the company's delays and tactics, including blocking holes with insulation, were improper.
"That drives them deeper ... then they came out and started plugging it with wire, but the rats are in the ceiling," Jackson said.
The condo association argues that removal is a joint effort and securing the interior of the condo is on the owner.
Jackson said she is stuck in the middle with the rats.
"It's no way for anybody to live. Nobody," she said.
