ATLANTA — Update: The Steamhouse Lounge was re-inspected and now has a score of 95.

A popular seafood restaurant in Midtown Atlanta has failed a health inspection.

The Steamhouse Lounge on West Peachtree Street got a score of 47 on Wednesday.

Customer April Marchman said she couldn't believe the score. She said the restaurant has wonderful lobster bisque.

Owner Sam Weyman told Channel 2's Carol Sbarge that people have been coming to the Midtown location since he opened there in the 1980s. Weyman said he takes full responsibility for the failing inspection.

Violations included heavy fly activity in the kitchen, failure to maintain clean food contact surfaces and multiple refrigeration units of the grill line not adequately holding cold temperatures.

Weyman said the refrigerator wasn’t working as well as it should have been. He said a repairman fixed the refrigerator Friday.
