ATLANTA — Police are investigating after they say a man was shot and killed at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Moreland Avenue Saturday night.
Police were called to reports of a shooting in the location around 8 p.m.
Maj. D’Andrea Price said officers found one man with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim was involved in a dispute about a vehicle that had gone off of the road.
Police said the victim, a Black man in his 40s, was not the car’s driver.

Officer detained one suspect and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Police said there may be another man involved in the shooting who left the scene. Officers are still looking for that person.
A section of Moreland Avenue was shut down Saturday night as detectives investigated.
It’s not clear if the person who is detained is being charged.
The shooting occurred just hours after a Georgia State Patrol trooper shot a man armed with a gun at a nearby BP station on Boulevard.
