ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a man hit by a vehicle downtown.
The incident happened on Pryor Street near the Gateway Center, a shelter for those in need of housing. Police have shut down Pryor Street and Garnett Street as they investigate.
The man’s condition is unclear, but a wheelchair was located on the scene and seen by a Channel 2 Action News reporter and photographer.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing. The department did not provide other details at this time.
At the scene, a Channel 2 Action News reporting team saw a wheelchair in the road and what appeared to be a FlixBus there.
