ATLANTA — One person was shot on a MARTA platform Monday at the East Lake station, police said.

MARTA police said the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening, and they were taken to a hospital for treatment. They are searching for a suspect, and the cause of the shooting is under investigation.
Police said the shooting occurred around 5:20 p.m. on the eastbound platform.
