MARTA Red Line service resumes following track replacement project

ATLANTA — MARTA rail service south of Medical Center Station is set to be fully restored by Sunday after operations were suspended for nearly a week.

On Friday, Feb. 17th, MARTA suspended Red Line service south of Medical Center Station due to the department’s ongoing efforts to make improvements to the stations, railroads and cars.

MARTA officials said the Red Line service to the airport will run at a reduced frequency from Thursday until Sunday while the Track Replacement Project concludes.

TRENDING STORIES:

Service on the Red Line north of the Medical Center as well as the Gold, Blue and Green Lines are all operating normally.
