ATLANTA — A man is dead after he was hit by a train while walking along the tracks, according to Atlanta police.
Officers say that around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, two men were walking on an elevated set of tracks.

The men did not know there was a moving train on one of the tracks. When they realized, one of the men was able to jump to the unoccupied set of tracks. The other man was not able to jump in time and was hit by the train.
Officials have not released the man’s name, but say he appears to be around 45 years old.
