ATLANTA — Police say a driver is dead after a fiery crash on I-285 Friday night.
Officers responded to a crash on I-285 north at Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway around 11:15 p.m. When officers arrived they found a vehicle wedged under a tractor-trailer that was fully engulfed in flames.

Investigators learned that the driver tried to exit the highway onto Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and then tried to get back on the highway.

The driver appeared to have lost control and crashed under the tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer dragged the vehicle for several yards.
Police said one man was found dead inside the burned car. The victim’s name has not been released.
