ATLANTA — Numerous organizations around Atlanta are distributing thousands of boxes of food ahead of Thanksgiving.
Several events are scheduled around metro Atlanta on Monday.
Cascade United Methodist Church will distribute more than 2,000 food boxes on Monday starting from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The boxes will provide families with meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the entire Thanksgiving week.

The Kandi Burruss Kandi Cares Foundation is hosting a pop-up market for pre-registered participants at the John D. Milner Sports Complex in East Point. Up to 250 recipients will get all the groceries they need to make their holiday meal.
Gwinnett County is donating free food to more than 2,400 families at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Participants can drive through from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to pick up boxes.
Feeding GA Families will give away bags with Thanksgiving-specific meal items to around 200 families. The boxes will be distributed from 6 to 8 p.m. at 2514 W. Point Ave.

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is hosting a Thanksgiving Hunger Relief Event and giving away more than 300 food boxes for people living in the Villages of East Lake and East Lake Highrise at the East Lake Family YMCA from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In the City of South Fulton, 800 people will get free food for hearty Thanksgiving Meals. Residents must register in advance. Meals will be distributed from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Welcome All Park & Multipurpose facility in College Park.
In Henry County, the Sheriff’s Office and Shaquille O’Neal are presenting a food giveaway at the Henry County Schools Learning and Support Center from 3 p.m. until when the food runs out.
