ATLANTA — Around this time of year, you probably feel like your Amazon spending is a little out of control.
From gifts to decorations festive foods, Amazon is a one-stop shop for holidays. But cozying up with the retail giant during the holidays may also be a shock to your wallet.

For those of you who just avoid looking checking your bank balance and plow through the season, carry on. But if you want to get a grip on how much you’ve spent with the retail giant, there’s a tool for that.

Here’s how to find out how much you’ve spent since you became an Amazon user:
- Log into your Amazon account and click “Account $ Lists”
- Select “Account”
- Under “Ordering and Shopping Preferences” tab, choose “Download Order Reports”
- Under “Report Type,” click “Items”
- Choose your own adventure: you can create reports as far back as Jan. 1, 2015
- Make your selections and press “request Report”
- Your file will download automatically
- Open the document in Excel or Google, highlight your items in the “AD” or “Item Total” column
- Click “Autosum” from the home ribbon
- Open and try not to have a heart attack
