ATLANTA — Police released surveillance video Wednesday that shows the chaos after two groups at a bar started shooting at each other. A recent college graduate visiting from out of town was hit and killed.

Officers released the video hoping someone who was at the scene or someone who knows something will comes forward and help them find those who killed 25-year-old Taylor Hayden. Officers are also looking for two cars they believe the shooters left in.

"The incident happened off-camera here," Atlanta Police Lt. Charles Hampton explained, pointing to the video. The video shows people running and ducking for cover after two groups of men opened fire in the parking lot of the Anchor Down Grille and Lounge on Piedmont back in July. %

Hayden, visiting from Houston and here for a friend's birthday, was shot and killed. "It doesn't appear that she was the target. We believe that she may have been caught in the crossfire," Hampton said.

Now police are asking for the public's help finding her killer.

Officers believe someone who was at the scene that night knows something. "So we're asking anyone who was there at The Anchor Bar on July 23 to come forward and give us a call," Hampton said in a news conference.

Police are also asking anyone who recognizes a black Audi and a white Escalade or Tahoe to contact them as well. The cars are connected to the shooting.

Meanwhile, Hayden's family says they're suffering over her sudden death. "This is traumatic to us," said her father, Vincent "Peter" Hayden.

Channel 2's Tom Jones spoke to Taylor's father by phone, and he said the violence that ended his daughter's life makes no sense. Mr. Hayden said many people in his family have had to have counseling because of it. He is asking anyone who knows something not to let his daughter's murder go unsolved. "Why let this child be in that cold grave... We have to know that, we have to not know who killed her," he said.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to Taylor Hayden's killer. Contact Crimestoppers at 404-577-TIPS, or 404-577-8477 if you have any information.
