ATLANTA, Ga. — The City of Atlanta will open two emergency warming centers due to the frigid temperatures expected overnight.
The centers will open Monday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. and remain open until Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 6 a.m.
The centers are located at Old Adamsville Recreation Center, 3404 Delmar Ln NW, Atlanta, GA 30331 and Central Park, 400 Merritts Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.

Transportation will be available to both locations starting at 8 p.m. from the Gateway Center at 275 Pryor Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30303, with return transportation available Tuesday morning.
Additional transportation will be scheduled as needed throughout the activation.

According to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon, temperatures are forecast to reach a low of 31 degrees overnight in Atlanta.
