ATLANTA — Atlanta police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who was involved in a minor accident with a school bus.
The accident happened in front of Springdale Elementary School at 1246 Ponce De Leon Avenue around 8 a.m. Thursday.
None of the 19 children onboard the bus were injured, but EMS was called to the scene to assist the students.
Police said the driver of the other car involved drove off after the accident.
Atlanta Public Schools released a statement about the accident:
The driver of the other vehicle stopped, checked on the condition of the bus driver and students and for damage to his vehicle and the bus. As the driver of the other vehicle drove away, his vehicle grazed the bus again but failed to stay on scene until the police arrived."
