ATLANTA — One man is dead, and another is in custody after a shooting at a house in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta police said officers responded to a call of shots fired in a home on 8th Street around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
One person was dead when they arrived.
Homicide detectives returned to the scene just before noon Tuesday and looked around the home.

Police did not say what they were looking for, but Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes saw them lifting fingerprints off different surfaces at the house.
Witnesses said there was an argument right before the shooting and that the argument was over the sale of a gun.
Investigators confirmed to Channel 2's Darryn Moore that they found one gun inside the home.
Fernandes asked police about the argument and possible gun sale, and they said they are still investigating.
Police detained a man they found at the scene of the crime and they are interviewing him.
No arrests have been made in the case so far.
