ATLANTA — Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s top pediatric hospital systems, earning multiple specialty rankings in the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals list.
Children’s ranked in the top 20 nationally in nine pediatric specialties, including two programs that placed in the top 10.

The hospital’s highest-ranked specialties were:
- Cardiology and Heart Surgery: No. 7
- Urology: No. 8
- Nephrology: No. 14
- Cancer: No. 15
- Orthopedics: No. 15
- Gastroenterology and GI Surgery: No. 18
- Neonatology: No. 18
- Neurology and Neurosurgery: No. 19
- Pulmonology and Lung Surgery: No. 20
Children’s was also named the No. 1 pediatric hospital in Georgia and the Southeast.
According to U.S. News & World Report, the annual rankings evaluate hospitals based on patient outcomes, program structure and national reputation across 11 pediatric specialty areas.

Children’s is the only children’s hospital in Georgia ranked among the nation’s top 50 pediatric hospitals.
