2 kids hit by stolen car in NW Atlanta neighborhood

ATLANTA — Two kids were hit by a stolen car in a northwest Atlanta neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on Collier Ridge just before 6 p.m.

Police said they pulled over a driver in a stolen vehicle in the area of Centerhill Avenue.

Two children were hit as the driver tied to get away. One child was taken to Egleston Hospital with superficial injuries. The second victim was evaluated by Grady on the scene and released to a parent.

The stolen car fled the scene, but officers found the car one street over on Santa Barbara Drive. The stolen car ended up running over a mailbox and crashing in someone's front yard. Police arrested one person and are looking for two others.
