ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta is facing another cold day Wednesday, but big weather changes are coming.
Temperatures were in the low 20s for much of the metro Wednesday morning, while parts of north Georgia saw temperatures in the teens.
With the wind chill, metro Atlanta felt like the the teens.
The record low for Wednesday was 18 and set in 1903. Meteorologist Karen Minton said some cities broke the record.
Temperatures rebounded into the mid 40s Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Atlanta tied the record for the coldest high temperature ever recorded on Nov. 18 on Tuesday.
That high temp was 37 degrees, which was set in the year 2000.
Severe storms possible this weekend
There will be a huge change in the temperatures come the weekend, which will usher in possible severe weather.
Temperatures will warm throughout the rest of the week, with a high near 70 by Sunday.
