Atlanta plane crash | NTSB piecing together wreckage

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — The NTSB is pouring over the wreckage of a plane that crashed on I-285 Friday, killing four people.

Channel 2 Action News spoke exclusively with Eric Alleyne, NTSB investigator in charge at the investigation staging area in Spalding County. He’s heading up the agency’s effort to figure out what caused the single engine Piper Saratoga to crash and burst into flames.

"There is no deadline. There is no rush. What we want to do is prevent it from happening again," Alleyne said.

Pilot Greg Byrd, his sons Phillip and Christopher, and Christopher’s fiancé, Jackie Kulzer, died in the crash.
