HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — 7:01 a.m. UPDATE: Atlanta police say K9 Stano has been found safe and is being taken to the vet to get check out as a precaution.

Police are searching for a missing Atlanta K9 who disappeared in Hampton on Tuesday morning.
Atlanta police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that K9 Stano’s handler was placing him in his kennel at their home when he spotted a deer. Stano took off running and hasn’t been seen since.
Right now, there are officers searching for K9 Stano, who is a Belgian Malinois. Anyone who sees him can call 404-416-9128 or the non-emergency line and report the sighting.
