Rise up! Community organizations, schools and hospitals all over Atlanta got an awesome treat today with surprise visits from Falcons players.

On Tuesday, the entire team participated in Hometown Huddle, a nationwide NFL day of service. Falcons players fanned out all across the city to give teachers hugs and share their appreciation, surprise students as fill-in P.E. coaches and cafeteria workers, bring smiles to patients at local hospitals and participate in other community service events..

On the list this year were several local schools, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Meals on Wheels, the VA Medical Center, Crossroads Community Ministries, Georgia Organics, the APD and Fire Station #1 and the Humane Society.

The event comes on the heels of the Falcon's huge victory over Green Bay at their first official game at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. A big 'thank you' to our hometown heroes!
