Atlanta Weather | Temperatures to rise follow cold snap

ATLANTA — An Arctic blast that brought snow to northern states moved into Georgia Tuesday evening and brought a second night of freezing temperatures.

Temperatures were below freezing in much of metro Atlanta Thursday morning, with a high of 56. A freeze warning expired at 9 a.m.

"This should be the last morning of the really cold Arctic air, then it should moderate a lot," Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.
