COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A fire has left major damage at the Ashebrooke Crossing apartments in Smyrna.

The fire was reported around 10 a.m. at the complex on Tibbaron Parkway, off South Cobb Drive.

“At least half of the building with all three floors is a total loss,” investigators told Channel 2’s Ashley Swann at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Swann spoke to a woman who said her dog had to be rescued from the fire. There were no injuries, but several residents are now worried about where they’re going to stay.
