GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The man accused of going on a two-county, 15-car spree of crashes that killed a woman has been indicted on a slew of charges.
On Thursday, a Gwinnett County Superior Court grand jury issued an indictment for 70-year-old Michael Snider.
He is charged with felony murder, 11 counts of first-degree property damage, homicide by vehicle, serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and 10 counts of failure to stop or return to the scene of an accident.
In January, police said Snider was behind the wheel of a car that struck several cars in DeKalb County before causing a five-vehicle wreck on Highway 78 in Gwinnett County.
Mintiwab Woldeyhans, 69, of Loganville was killed in the string of crashes. Several others were injured.
Witnesses at the time told Channel 2 that the driver was intentionally trying to hit their vehicles.
