DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Several lanes of Interstate 20 westbound have reopened after a crash involving several cars blocked all lanes for hours in DeKalb County.

Triple Team Traffic said the crash, which occurred past the Flat Shoals exit, involved multiple cars, including a Georgia Department of Public Safety SUV.

NewsChopper 2 over the scene showed several police cars on the scene and traffic backed up for miles.

An officer, a woman and three children were taken to area hospitals.

Investigators said a driver crashed into a guardrail, then into the officer's cruiser. The officer was inside the car at the time.

Officials confirmed the officer's injuries are minor.
