Adult diaper plant looks to hire

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga.,None — A manufacturing company looking to double its staff is bringing dozens of jobs to metro Atlanta.

On Thursday, Channel 2's Dave Huddleston went to the new Medline Industries manufacturing plant in Douglasville, where employers are looking to hire about 80 people. The company, which produces incontinence products, has been operating since October.

"I think we've done a great job here," John Fitter told Huddleston.

Fitter designed and runs the 600,000-square foot manufacturing facility. It makes adult diapers for seniors.

Fitter said the company is looking for operators, maintenance technicians, office associates and front office staff.

"We have highly technical machines, and I wanted a work force that was very skilled, dedicated, hardworking and would allow me to grow the business from the ground up," he said.
