After the shooting in Vienna on Sunday morning, the organization said it prepared to deploy counselors to the area and had activated a 24-hour crisis support line and launched an Emergency Victim Support Fund.
The addition of a reward for information is part of what the foundation called an expanded response to the shooting, which left 35 people injured.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to come forward and to share it with investigators to help catch those responsible.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp released a brief statement Wednesday, saying state leaders were working together on the situation.
“We are in contact with our law enforcement partners statewide and in Dooly County as they respond to this event,” Kemp said.
Democratic candidate for governor Keisha Lance Bottoms also released a statement in the wake of the shooting, saying in part that “I am heartbroken by the tragedy in Vienna and the lives taken by senseless gun violence. It is devastating that Georgians are grieving victims of gun violence, just days after the horrific mass shooting at Carolyn Crayton Park in Macon,” and that her prayers were with the families.
