5 Things you didn't know about Channel 2's Sophia Choi

I'm half-Norwegian and half-Korean. My father was a radar specialist contracted through Bendix for the U.S. Government. He was stationed in South Korea where he met my mother. I lived in Korea until I was almost 8 years old. I visited Norway with my grandmother during college.

I played Alto Saxophone when I was young. I even won a scholarship to the Tidewater Music Festival in Maryland.

I love to cook. I was featured in Cooking Light Magazine with my Turkey Chili and Man-Delite cake (a lighter version of the traditional mandarin orange cake). I worked at CNN at the time.

I was once in the Rose Bowl parade in Pasadena, California. I was invited to ride the Korean Centennial float, which commemorated the arrival of Koreans in the U.S.

I was honored to work with famed director Mike Nichols before he passed away.  I was in the movie "Primary Colors" with John Travolta, Emma Thompson, Kathy Bates and Billy Bob Thornton. I played myself, with former "Access Hollywood" anchor Larry Mendte. We did it in one take!
