POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. — Three men have been indicted in the shooting death of a Cobb County couple as their 3-year-old daughter sat in the back seat.
Investigators say Roy Lee Hicks set up a drug deal with Anthony and Catherine Costner in August. They say he shot the couple as they sat in a car on Parks Drive in Powder Springs.
Their daughter was not hurt.
Prosecutors believe Demarco Thomas and Raymond Webb helped Hicks pull off the crime.
Catherine Costner's mother wonders who would shoot a mother and father in front of their child.
"I think someone had it in for her husband for some reason," said Cynthia Quinn.
The family says the toddler will be taken care of by a relative.
