COLUMBUS, Ga. — A lineman was electrocuted as he worked on powerlines in Columbus overnight, according to WTVM.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the as 26-year-old Cody Lange.

Bryan said Lang was working on powerlines on Double Churches Road on Monday. He was pronounced dead at the hospital early Tuesday morning.
Lange’s parents said on social media that he worked for Corbett Electrical.

Lange is the second lineman in Georgia to be killed in the line of duty this year.
Jesse Maxwell, 32, was killed while working to restore power after storms in Jasper County in January.

Family members say Maxwell was in a bucket truck in Jasper County when a limb kicked back and hit him in the head.
Maxwell was a father of four.
