ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Public Health has confirmed more measles cases connected to an outbreak at a metro Atlanta daycare.
DPH says the new cases make 10 total cases connected to the daycare.
Channel 2 Action News first reported the outbreak last month.

Officials say the children involved were either unvaccinated or were not fully vaccinated.
DPH is working to identify people who may have been exposed to the virus.
The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning did not release the location of the daycare where the exposures happened.
With these cases, DPH says Georgia has had a total of 16 measles cases so far this year. There were only 10 in 2025.

The Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says if one person has measles, up to nine out of 10 people who come into close contact with that person will become infected if they are not protected.
The CDC said the best protection is vaccination.
DPH said measles spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes, and the MMR vaccine is safe and effective.
