Police ID teen killed in gas station shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man at a gas station on Flat Shoals Road.

Police say a car with two 18-year-old men pulled up to a gas station pump and another car with two other young men pulled up right behind them.

DeKalb County detectives say the two men in the second car  got out and immediately started shooting at the car in front of them.

"Another vehicle pulled up. Two unidentified subjects got out and started shooting at both victims," Lt. Rob Bryant said.

Police say both victims tried to run away. One victim collapsed on Flat Shoals Road.

Both victims were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where one of the teens died. He has been identified as Cortez Ingram.

Torin Waters, 19, is in serious condition but stable, according to police.

Witnesses told Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach there was no argument or warning, just the gunfire.

Police have not released a description of the suspects or the shooters' car.

Gehlbach says surveillance video may have captured what happened.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
