ATLANTA, Ga. — The Atlanta Police Department say a 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting along Dunning Street Friday night.

Lieutenant Christapher Butler with Atlanta Homicide Unit told Channel 2 Action News that at approximately 11:20p.m. officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Dunning Street on a report of a person shot. Upon arrival they located a 15-year-old boy, dead from a gunshot wound.
Investigators have been speaking with family members and witnesses. They say so far this is an isolated incident “between known parties” and are still working on the exact motive and circumstances of relationships with those individuals.
Police ask people to call Crimestoppers with any information to help bring a close to this shooting death.
At this time, police say they are still working on a person of interest, but it appears to be a young individual. They have not released any information on the victim.
