PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A 12-year-old boy is safe Thursday morning after he was reported kidnapped from his home in Paulding County.
Authorities say Dorian Moxley was found near the Tennessee line on Interstate 24 when Georgia State Patrol pulled over a car he was in.
The boy was with Timothy Lee Wilson, a 33-year-old house guest, according to investigators.
Paulding County deputies were called to a home on 91 Lake Swan Court in Hiram around 6 a.m. in reference to a possible kidnapping. People at the scene told them Moxley was last seen Wednesday. They also were told Wilson was missing.
Wilson, who was living with the family, was last seen around the same time as Moxley. The family’s car was also missing from the home.
Deputies say Wilson did not have permission to take Moxley anywhere.
Channel 2 Action News has learned that Wilson was arrested earlier this year in April for failure to appear. According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Wilson has also been arrested previously for theft of property and for driving on a suspended license.
Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, United States Marshal’s Service assisted the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in this investigation. The Tennessee Highway Patrol as well as the Georgia State Patrol also assisted in this investigation.
