1 killed in shooting near Atlanta biker club

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left one man dead and a woman in critical condition. Police say the shooting happened outside between a sports bar and motorcycle clubhouse in southeast Atlanta.

Atlanta police got a call about shots being fired around 2 a.m. They say Lloyd Swain Jr., 44, from Striker's Clubhouse was shot and taken to Grady Medical Center where he died.

A woman was also shot and driven to another hospital where she is in critical condition.

"We do know the male victim was found," Atlanta police Capt. Michael O'Conner said. "When he was initially transported in the parking lot up on the hill, and we're uncertain where the female was in relation to which parking lot. She was self-transported by a friend to Atlanta Medical Center in a personal vehicle."

Police say there may have been a third victim.

Homicide detectives are still talking to witnesses and trying to determine what the initial argument was about. They know there was some sort of dispute, but have yet to confirm what it was about.

None of the bikers Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach spoke with would say what led up to the shooting between neighboring parking lots.
