iWitness2 Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the WSB-TV & wsbtv.com "iWitness2 Monthly Photo/Video Contest" (the "Contest") is open to any legal resident 18 and over in the state of Georgia.

WSB-TV and wsbtv.com are looking for the best news, sports, entertainment, pet and travel photos and videos from across Georgia and beyond through the iWitness2 section of wsbtv.com

Here's how the contest works.

1. Users can upload photos and videos to iWitness2 on wsbtv.com . 2. On the first day of each month, wsbtv.com will pull the 100 most viewed videos/photos from the previous month. The number of views a video/photo has received can be seen on the page that houses that particular media where it says views. For this Contest, photos and videos are not separate. There is only one contest for both photos and videos. 3. From those 100 most viewed, WSB-TV and wsbtv.com staff will select 25 to compete in the Contest. The five most viewed photos/videos each month will always receive an entry into the top 25 in this Contest. The other 20 will be picked based upon news value, composition, relevance, quality, creativity and impression. 4. Those 25 will be added to the contest page and wsbtv.com will encourage users to view the nominated photos/videos. 5. Each page view of the photo/video will be considered one vote. The more views a photo/video receives, the more votes it gets. 6. The five entrees (of the 25 selected) with the most votes at the end of the voting period will make the finals. 7. A panel of judges will select the winner from the five finalists based upon news value, composition, relevance, quality, creativity and impression. There will be one first place winner and one second place winner.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you grant Sponsor an irrevocable, non-exclusive royalty-free license to broadcast, display on its website, copy, edit and otherwise use your entry materials, including your photographs, video tape and essay, for any promotional, programming or commercial purpose.

Sponsor will not be responsible for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of entries or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.

Employees, agencies, representatives, affiliates, and immediate families of WSB-TV, Cox Enterprises, Inc., and any official contest/promotion participant and any of their respective parent or sister companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, production entities, broadcast affiliates, distributors, retailers, suppliers or advertising or promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively, " Contest Entities") and each of their respective immediate family members (defined as mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife) and those living in the same household of each of the above are not eligible to participate or win a prize.

Winner will be notified by phone or email. Failure to reach winners with the information provided (WSB may contact only once) may result in disqualification, and selection of a substitute winner. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed, except that prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability, and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

The winner will have to provide to WSB-TV their name, address, phone, email address and social security number to collect the prize and sign a release waiver. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of the prize.

Prizes not claimed in 30 thirty days will be forfeited by winner.

WSB-TV reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time. All prize award decisions are final. The decisions WSB-TV management are final. Rules may be changed by WSB-TV at any time during contest.

Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes which may be payable due to receipt of prize.

Void where prohibited by international, federal, state, or local law.

Winning households are ineligible to win another prize on the station for 90 days.

Participants acknowledge and agree that Sponsor shall have the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, publish, promote, or otherwise display or use entries in any way it sees fit without limitation or compensation to entrants.

Winner Selection. Wsbtv.com voting will determine the five finalists, then a panel of judges will judge the final five videos/photos.

Prizes and Odds (1) first place prize winner each month. (1) second place prize winner each month. First place will receive $50, second place will receive $25.

Odds of winning are dependent upon number of photos/videos added to wsbtv.com each month.

By accepting a prize, winners expressly agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and other Released Parties from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, costs and expenses arising out of the Contest.

Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media, for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.

Participation. By participating, contestants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Contest is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to pick a winner based on the votes received before the termination date.

Copyright. By entering the Contest, each contestant grants to Sponsor an exclusive, royalty-free and irrevocable right and license to publish, print, display, edit or otherwise use the contestant's submitted entry, in whole or in part, for any purpose and in any manner or media (including, without limitation, the Internet) throughout the world in perpetuity, and to license others to do so, all without limitation or further compensation. Each contestant further agrees that if his/her entry is selected by Sponsor as the winning entry, he/she will sign any additional license or release that Sponsors may require. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

Sponsor. The WSB-TV and wsbtv.com "iWitness2 Monthly Photo/Video Contest" is sponsored by WSB-TV. The decisions of Sponsor and the Contest judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest.
