GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A long-time Gwinnett County School Board member was arrested after officials said he failed to pay child support.
Channel 2 Action News confirmed that deputies arrested and charged Daniel Seckinger on Monday.
Superior Court document obtained by Channel 2 Gwinnett Bureau Chief Manuel Bojorquez showed Seckinger's ex-wife filed for a contempt hearing for failing to pay child support.
Seckinger stopped paying child support in April 2010, according to documents filed by his former wife. The arrears totaled $15,000, court papers showed.

A Gwinnett County judge ordered Seckinger incarcerated on Monday in lieu of $7,000 bond.
Seckinger paid the bail and was released from jail early Tuesday, deputies said.
Seckinger claimed he lacked income because the economy had hurt his home building company, court documents showed.

Seckinger represents District II and has served on the board since 1995.
A spokesman for the Gwinnett County School District said the matter was private so they would not comment. Bojorquez attempted to reach Seckinger but was unsuccessful.
