CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Woodstock police are investigating after two young girls reported a man exposed himself to them near the movie theater.
Police said a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl were walking near the Cherokee 16 Cinemas around 5 p.m. Sunday when a man emerged from behind a section of shrubbery on the southwest corner of the movie theater and exposed himself to them.
"Allegedly, the man appeared in a complete state of nudity, grabbed his private member and shook it at the girls," said Sgt. Paul A. Brown of the Woodstock Police Department.
The girls walked away and called 911 from their cell phone.
Officers conducted a search of the immediate area within minutes of the call but the suspect was not located, police said.
Police said the girls described the man as a white male, 18-20 years old with a military-style short haircut.
"The two girls reacted appropriately by continuing to walk away and notifying police and their parents immediately," said Brown.
