BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. — A traffic stop in coastal Georgia took an unusual turn when a driver tried to identify himself with a booking sheet from a recent stay in jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office shared the encounter, saying a deputy stopped a driver and asked for his driver’s license.
According to deputies, the driver said he did not have his license with him. When the deputy asked whether he had another form of identification, the driver handed over a booking sheet from a recent arrest.
“That’s certainly one way to introduce yourself,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

Deputies stated that a booking sheet is not a valid form of identification for driving.
After running the driver’s name and date of birth, the deputy discovered the man’s driver’s license had been suspended, according to the sheriff’s office.
His age and identity were not released.
