Georgia man shot victim multiple times after argument inside SUV, police say

NICEVILLE, Fla. — A Georgia man has been arrested and charged with murder after police say he shot a man to death following an argument.

According to the Niceville police in Florida, officers and Okaloosa County deputies responded around 3:49 p.m. on Sept. 7 to State Road 85, after receiving reports of shots fired and a person armed with a gun.

When authorities arrived, they found two people standing near a black BMW SUV parked on the northbound shoulder of the roadway. Authorities also found a man dead in the median nearby.

The two men who were standing near the SUV were identified as occupants of the car and were detained and taken to the NPD as detectives investigated the shooting.

According to police, the investigation determined that Glen Primeaux, 25, of Georgia, shot the victim multiple times outside the SUV after the SUV stopped on the shoulder of the highway.

Officials said the shooting stemmed from a verbal argument that began while Primeaux and the victim were inside the vehicle together.

Police arrested Primeaux and booked him into the Okaloosa County Jail. He’s charged with murder.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.

The investigation remains ongoing.
