Father, Son Arrested In Meth Lab Seizure

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — Peachtree City police arrested a father and son and seized items from a methamphetamine laboratory at their apartment Monday.

A concerned citizen tipped off police that a unit at the Gables Court Apartments in Peachtree City appeared to have been turned into a methamphetamine laboratory.

When police and federal Drug Enforcement Agency agents searched the apartment, which belonged to Harry Charles and Jake Harry Osborne, around 5:30 p.m., they said they found items consistent with a meth lab.

The Osbornes were taken to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on methamphetamin -manufacturing felony charges.

The search and retrieval of items from this apartment continued through the evening hours until a federally contracted company began the cleanup process. Samples of the substances located at the scene are being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for identification.
