ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons Owner Arthur Blank made a major donation to fight the ongoing wildfires devastating Maui.
Blank’s foundation announced Friday that his foundation would donate $100,000 to the Maui Strong Fund of the Hawai’i Community Foundation.
The money will go towards immediate needs and long-term relief in Maui.
“With horror and sadness along with the rest of the world, we’ve witnessed the devastation the fires have wreaked on Maui,” Fay Twersky, president, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation said. “Loss of life, displaced families and destruction of property are among the numerous tribulations facing the Maui community. By partnering with the Hawai’i Community Foundation, we are hopeful our support will ease some of the burden where it’s most needed and encourage others to join us in contributing to the Maui Strong Fund.”
