ATLANTA — WSB-TV, Channel 2 celebrates excellence in Georgia high school music theatre Sunday August 8 at 1 p.m with an encore broadcast of the 2nd Annual Schuler Hensley Awards.
According to Bill Hoffman, vice president and general manager for Channel 2, "It is all part of the station's service to the community. We are proud to showcase the high caliber of local talent and shine a spotlight on their efforts for the state to see."

Jovita Moore and Justin Farmer, Channel 2 Action News anchors, hosted the second annual Shuler Hensley Awards, an initiative of the Cobb Energy Centre educational outreach program, ARTSBRIDGE. The program honors local students for their achievements in musical theatre production. It's an exciting night of spectacular performances and award presentations.Thirty nine Georgia high schools representing eleven counties competed in categories including overall production, leading actor & actress, chorus ensemble and ten other categories.Last year's inaugural program drew a viewing audience of one hundred and twenty-four thousand.The show was taped live on Tuesday, Apr. 13.
