Delta Flight Aborted During Takeoff

ATLANTA,None — Delta Air Lines confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that a pilot was forced to abort the takeoff of a flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Delta flight 1072 was aborted Thursday night after several tires blew.

Delta representative Carlos Santos said one tire blew during takeoff and other tires blew while the plane was taxing off the runway.

The flight was on its way to Dayton, Ohio and was scheduled to take off at 9 p.m. when the incident happened.

Santos said officials do not know what caused the tires to blow. Delta mechanics are investigating.

All passengers on board are OK and no injuries were reported.

No other flights were delayed.

The passengers were put on another flight.
