Def Leppard, Heart Rock Lakewood

ATLANTA — A powerful storm proved to be no match for English rock band Def Leppard Saturday night at Aaron's Amphitheater at Lakewood.

Thunderstorms moved through the area after 7 p.m. Saturday night and temporarily delayed the start of the Mirror Ball Tour.

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, better known as the duo behind Heart, opened the show. They played "Barracuda," "What About Love" and "Never," among other hit songs.

Then, it was time for Def Leppard to take the stage. The rock band started about 45 minutes behind schedule, but the delay did nothing to diminish the anticipation of fans.

Def Leppard opened with "Undefeated" before performing over a dozen hits including "Animal," "Rocket," "Armadgeddon It" and "Photograph." They ended the pre-encore portion of the show with what VH1 ranks as the #2 "100 Greatest Songs of the 80s," "Pour Some Sugar On Me."

Here's a clip of the band performing it live in 1988.

Def Leppard played "Rock of Ages" for an encore.
