East Point, Ga — Amid the social distancing being implemented around the world, as well as right here in Atlanta, one family got a bit creative with how to continue to keep in touch with their fellow neighbors.
On Thursday evening, Lori and Ed Kirby, who live in the Jefferson Park neighborhood in East Point, loaded up their huge blow-up Tyrannosaurus rex into their pickup truck.
They drove at slow speeds, waving at neighbors from a safe distance. Neighbor Charlotte Cagle shared pictures on the neighborhood Facebook group.
Neighbor Timothy Rand Brown said: “I was on my back porch, and at first, all I could see was a big smiling dinosaur coming around the corner...Thanks so much! We needed some comic relief!”
It was a fun sight, to say the least, during some difficult and unprecedented times.
