ATLANTA,None — Channel 2’s Heather Catlin travels to New York to reveal inside stories behind the popular “Broadway in Atlanta” series coming to the Fox Theatre.
Catlin goes backstage for rehearsals of “Billy Elliot.” One of the actors portraying Billy Elliot talks about his life in the theater. He describes a typical day and all the classes he must take in order to play the part. He also tells Heather his story of making it to Broadway at such a young age.
Then, Heather goes behind the scenes of the hit show “Memphis” that is sure to rock the Fox. David Bryan, an original member of Bon Jovi, composed the music. He tells Channel 2 about the one conversation that started him down a path to write songs for his first musical.
Plus, Frankie Valli, one of the original “Jersey Boys,” talks about what it’s like to watch different actors play him on stage. Now the musical about Valli and his pals is selling out in theaters across the country.
